You may not know this, but the Eukaryote cells reproduce by a process called Mitosis. There are many stages through this process. Once the cell gets enough food for it to grow, the cell splits in two. You might think this is a cool process, and that it doesn't take long, but it's actually harder than you think it or actually looks like.
      The cell has to make sure that it makes the exact same copy of the DNA. If this does not happen correctly the cell may produce cancer. This takes a whole long process, which can be more like a cycle in order for the cell to get the exact same DNA.

 
      In scince class we have been talking about all of these kinds of cells. There are animal, plant, and bacteria cells. These cells all have something in common. They have any similar cell parts. For example they both share a cell memberance. A cell memberance helps the cell so that it can no what goes in and out of either of these cells I have said. 
     These cells all have many other things in common, but it would take me a long time to name them all in this blog. These cells are also different. 



 
      In science class we had been learning about cells. For about two weeks ago, we were planning on buliding an edible cell. We had to pick either an animal cell to work with, or a plat cell. Our group thought that it would have been much easier to built an animal cell. We had to use food items to represent the cell parts, but they had to be non-refrigerated. 
     I believe that when working with this project it did help me learn about where all the cell parts are located. I don't know about the rest of my group, but I know most of the animal parts, and what they do. If there were something I would change in this project would be that we should all do each cell for example do both an animal, and a plant cell so we can know both of the
 
     In cells, there are many parts that you may not know. There is actually more in a cell than what you think. I think it's amazing, just how many cell parts can fit in that tiny thing! Each cell part, is very important, it does a plays a great part. For example, let's say that a cell part wasn't in the cell, then I believe that the cell would not function the same way.
     If there was no cell memberance, nor cell wall, then many bacteria or other stuff can get in the cell and damage it. If for example there was no DNA, then how will a sciecnsitst find the tissues? This is why I believe every cell part is important. 
 
     In another 7th grade science class, they had measured baby rats, and there tails! They were trying to find out the circumfrience of there head, and how much mass the wighed. They had measured the mass for about 2 to 3 days. On there first recording of their mass, they had a total of 4.5 grams. The length of there tail, was about 1cm. 
     As the time went by, there measurements had increased. I believe that each day the baby rat grew. Maybe some of the rats might not get chubbier, because they don't eat, or they are not getting fed.
 
      In Mrs.Poole's science class we are learning how to measure using meters, centimeters, inches, millimeters,etc. We are also learning how to find the lenght,height,and width of a box. This has helped me so much, because some of the things that we learned how to measure i didn't even know what they were! Mrs.Poole also told us that the end of the ruler isn't always a zero. She told us that we have t look carefully and find the zero ourselfs, because if we use the end of the ruler as a zero our measurments can be wrong. I was so happy she told us this, because in the future it can help me a lot, so i won't get the wrong measurments.
 
     In order to find the volume of an irregular shape, your going to need a graduated cylinder, and water. The first step is to fill the graduated cylinder up to an amount so that when you drop the object the water won't spill. Let's just go with 30ml. After you filled the graduated cylinder with water, now you are going to gently drop the object in the graduated cylinder. Before you even drop the object make sure you got the amount of water level when you first started. After you drop the object you measure the water level after you dropped the object. The final step is to subtract the the water level before to the water level now. So there you have it!

     Many people tell me that I look a lot like my dad, mom, sister, brother, or sister. I sometimes look at myself, and say, "I don't see it." But, then I realize that I do have something of each one, because they are all part of my family. 
     I have my brother, and dad's height. Many people tell me that I need to stop growing! I just laugh. I acually like being tall. I have my sisters personality, we both like/dislike the same things. Finally, we have my mom. Me and her also like the same things, but when it comes to food she loves most of the things I don't! Even thought we might not have things from facial expressions we have things, like personality. 

 
     In science we are learning how living things reproduce, how they use energy, how they grow and develop, there DNA,  etc. All living things use up all pf these things. It just takes time, and process.
     Most of these things happen all because of there parents. Without your parents you wouldn't have a DNA, nor even be alive. That's why you need to thank your parents for everything they have done for you.

 
      In science we have covered many wonderful science expierements. I really enjoyed all, but I have one favorite. Do you? My favorite science experiment was when we used a balance to figure out if we chewed our gum for 10 minutes will the mass go down or up. 
      I really enjoyed this project, because I had thought that the mass would increase. I thought that the mass would increase, becasue I thought my saliva would have an effect on the mass.
